MUSOFEST isn't just about competing — it's about growing. Participants and families can join workshops and activities running throughout the day. Details will be announced closer to the event day.

High-Energy Division

Bring your rhythm to the main stage. The Drums division is open to classical and rock-pop student solos, supporting backing tracks for a highly dramatic live final set.

Professional Media

Professional stage photography and videography packages will be available to purchase after the event. All finalists will get a proper video/audio performance recording.

How much is the entry fee?

Fees depend directly on your performance grade level. It starts at RM75 for early grades and goes up to RM135 for advanced performers. Please review the categories grid above.

Are there additional charges for late registration?

Yes. A late bird surcharge of RM10 applies to all registrations submitted between 1–15 October 2026. Registration closes on 15 October and no entries will be accepted after this date.

Will I get a refund if my child withdraws?

Registration fees are non-refundable once payment has been confirmed. Please ensure you are committed to participating before completing your registration.

Can I change my category or details after submitting?

Any structural or category changes requested after registration will incur an administrative fee of RM20. This includes corrections for incorrectly selected piano categories, so please verify all details carefully before submitting.

What are the performance rules?

Performance requirements including time limits, backing track guidelines, and repertoire rules vary by category. Please refer to the full Rules & Regulations for your specific category.

What are the video recording requirements?

Videos may be recorded in portrait or landscape orientation at a minimum resolution of 720p. The full body of the performer must be visible throughout, and audio quality must be clear and adequate. For full technical requirements, please refer to the Rules & Regulations.

What is the deadline for video submission?

The video submission window opens 1 August 2026 and closes 15 October 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

What is a YouTube Unlisted video?

An unlisted video can only be viewed by people who have your exact web link. This keeps your performance securely hidden from the public while allowing our judges to review it safely. Learn More

Who can see my child's unlisted video?

Only our preliminary judges will have access to your video link. It will not be shared publicly or with anyone outside the judging panel.

How will I know if my child is selected as a finalist?

Finalists will be announced on 7 November 2026 via WhatsApp and email. Please ensure your contact details are accurate at the time of registration.

Can parents and family watch the live performance?

Yes! Audience tickets will be available for purchase from the first week of November 2026. Tickets are priced at RM20 for adults and RM10 for students aged 17 and below.

What time should finalists arrive on event day?

Finalists should arrive at least 45 minutes before their scheduled session. A detailed running order will be shared with all finalists closer to the event date.

Where do I collect the participation pack and certificate?

All registered participants will receive a certificate and a participation pack, collectable at the event day collection desk on 5 December 2026. Finalists will receive an additional finalist certificate, available for collection from your home music center after the event. Your teacher will notify you when it is ready.
