MUSOFEST 2026 Music Festival and Competition

Join us on Saturday, 5 December 2026 at Suria Hotel, Kota Kinabalu for a full day of performances celebrating young musical talent across Sabah.

• Contemporary Piano
• Drums
• Vocals

Not just a competition: MUSOFEST is about more than winning. Selected students who don’t make the finalist cut still have a chance to shine as a MUSO STAR Performer — a special recognition for outstanding participants, complete with its own award. Every student who submits a great performance has something to gain.

How it works: Submit a video entry for preliminary judging by our panel of external adjudicators. Top scorers in each category advance to compete live on stage at the Grand Finals — with RM200 cash prizes across 13 prize categories, plus placement awards and performance certificates.

Key dates:

• Registration opens: 1st July 2026
• Video submission window: 1 August 2026
• Registration & video deadline: 15 October 2026, 11:59 PM (no exceptions)
• Finalist announcement: 7 November 2026
• Event day: 5 December 2026
